Initially, it was thought that the third installment of "Tokyo Ghoul" will be aired on later part of this year, but numerous reported that "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 release date may possibly move in early part of 2017.
There are also rumors circulating explaining why "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 has been delayed, wherein it is said that a live action film based on the anime series is currently being produced. It is said that the director and producers of "Tokyo Ghoul" is focusing on the production of "Tokyo Ghoul" movie, which is scheduled to be shown by summer time, rather than creating the third installment of the anime series.
The "Tokyo Ghoul" movie is supposed to be an origins story, exploring the origins of the protagonists and presumably the ghoul themselves. There are ongoing speculations that the upcoming live action film will have some connection to the show; however, details are still sketchy as of this moment.
Meanwhile, there are also possible "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 plots lines spreading around, and one of which is that Kaneki may assume a new identity as Ghoul Investigator Haise Sasaki. It is said that his capture by a group of Ghoul terrorists prompted him to change his identity.
There are also speculations that Toka will go to a university, provided that she can make up her mind on which school would that be. Toka is also rumored to be the new heroine in the upcoming season of Tokyo Ghoul Season 3 .
While the second season of the show deviated from its roots, the showrunners reportedly promised that the upcoming "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 will follow the manga, and may also be the darkest season yet for "Tokyo Ghoul."
Since all of these are mainly speculations, fans of the anime series would just need to wait until an official announcement is made for the upcoming Tokyo Ghoul Season 3 and "Tokyo Ghoul" live action film.
For reference, Tokyo Ghoul Season 3 premiered in Japan in July 2014, where it featured the lives of entities called Ghouls. The Ghouls, which has the ability to regenerate and are a lot stronger, agile, faster than ordinary man, may look human but they crave human flesh.
One Piece Kabuki Play Star Steps Down After Breaking Arm
Actor was injured in Monday performance
One Piece kabuki play star Ichikawa Ennosuke IV is stepping down from the roles of Luffy and Hancock due to an injury on stage. Starting on Wednesday,During the curtain call of the midday performance on Monday, Ichikawa fell onto a stage mechanism and, when part of his costume got stuck in the machinery, he broke his arm. He was transferred to a hospital where the injury was diagnosed.
Onoe Ukon will take over Ichikawa's roles. Onoe previously played Sadi-chan and Marco; Bandō Shingo will take his place as Sadi-chan and Nakamura Hayato will take his place as Marco.
A timeframe for Ichikawa's return has not been set. In a comment to the Comic Natalie news website, Ichikawa told fans he is doing well. "I broke a bone, but please don't worry," he said. "I am true Gum-Gum power user Luffy!"
The play first ran from October-November 2015 at the Shinbashi Enbujō theater. 100,000 tickets for the Tokyo run all sold out. The play then ran in Osaka in March 2016, and then in Fukuoka in April 2016. Theatrical screenings of the play across Japan premiered last October. The current play, Super Kabuki II One Piece, is running from October 6-November 25.
